Bay Area Food Bank BarrelConsider bringing items for children
to fill the barrel on Sundays. The
Backpack Program which provides children with food on Friday to get them
through the weekend until they return to school on Monday where they are
guaranteed to have a hot meal for the week. Many children go without food
throughout the weekend so we would like to ask you to bring items that would be
nourishing for the children.

Mrs. Kalaris' 4th
grade class gave her juice boxes, snacks and kid friendly food for the Bay Area
Food Bank as a teacher appreciation gift. Her students asked her what she
wanted and Mrs. Kalaris asked the children to think of others. They
surprised her by bringing in enough food to fill two of the barrels we used to
have! Notice the new red barrel and please bring in kid friendly foods
and drinks for the summer months.
The book store has
many new icons and books for sale. Stop by sometime - there will be a
sale soon!
